Here comes the RADAR…get down!
Last night, Bucky Brooks put his top 5 pass-rushing duos in the NFL. Not surprisingly, this list did not 
contain one duo that many in #packernation are very excited about…Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers. My first thought was “hey, these guys haven’t even taken a snap yet so…sure”. That was until I scrolled down and saw DMarcus Ware and Von Miller at number four. Sure, those guys should be there but they haven’t taken a snap together yet either and the injury situation with those two (especially Miller – ACL) is more severe. So our guys didn’t get any love…but I for one am just fine with them flying under the RADAR. Peppers is just a season removed from 11.5 sacks and is now on a team with the best complement he has ever had in Clay Matthews. Matthews may still have some healing to do but is expected to be 100% and is alone a force to be reckoned with. He is one year removed from 13 sacks.
If you don’t get love…make it!
The effect that the addition of Julius Peppers could have on this team has been compared to the Packers 
addition of Reggie White. Personally, I like to think of Peppers as a Charles Woodson for the young defensive linemen and LB’s but at any rate, we are going to see a difference in this year’s defense. Matthews and Peppers will start to get love when they start confusing quarterbacks and harassing them with the pressure that is so important in the NFL and to me, even more so in the NFC North. This is a division of great quarterbacks and excellent receivers mostly due to the desire to knock the Packers off the throne. The Matthews/Peppers duo will make success a shifty mistress.
Assault and Peppers
Well, the votes poured in and when the dust settled…”Assault and Peppers” had 54% of the vote to 46% for “The Claymaker and the Peppershaker”. These were both rockin’ names for what will prove to be a great combo for the Pack. Assault and Peppers…the trail of devastation begins in Seattle! I can’t wait to see those two guys get after it and as much as I liked Russell Wilson as a Badger…WATCH OUT! If you avoid the Assault…you still gotta deal with the Peppers! Ha!
Get creative Packernation!
Well, the name Assault and Peppers inspired me. I think it would make a good graphic. If there are any designers out there who want to interpret this new name and send us a graphic, we would love to take a look. Who knows…if it is really good…may end up in front of millions! If we use it, we will definitely credit the name and your website if you have one.

It appears you were the first,I was under the impression I was, but it looks like you beat me to it. and i wasn’t looking for credit, i was just glad the name is going to stick because of the voters who liked it!
