In my mind one of the key characteristics of a true fan is whether you stick with your team through thick and thin. That’s not to say that you don’t get angry or frustrated about bad situations. Frustration over poor production shows real passion for your team.
However, when we get so frustrated that we think our team has no hope, we’ve gone too far.
Recall 2014
After starting the 2014 season 1-2, Rodgers had to remind Packer fans to relax. While he’s made no such statement this year, the suggestion is still a good one.
Packers were able to turn things around that year and make a huge statement. They followed that poor start with a four game win streak, and I’m confident that they can do the same in 2015.
Time is running out to accomplish that, but they can certainly do it.
Recall 2010
The same sort of thing happened in 2010. The Packers started out the season three and three, followed it up with a four game win streak, but then had some key losses that put their playoff hopes in jeopardy.
They didn’t win the division that year. But they closed out the season with back to back wins and earned themselves a wildcard slot.
And, as we all know, a wildcard berth was all it took that year. That playoff berth was the first step on a four game run to bring the Lombardi trophy back to Green Bay.
Keep the Faith
I guess what I’m saying is, no matter how bleak things seem right now, we must keep the faith. This is a good team. We have talented players. If they can put it together at the right time, they can make it happen.
I’m very confused about out team right now but I stand strong with them
Go Pack!!!

You and me both Dan. So much potential but they haven’t been able to put it together lately. And, the next game isn’t going to be any easier.
I have been a Packer fan for 60 years. I will always be a Packers fan. But, this season is over. The difference between this years team and the 2010 / 2014 teams is those teams lost well played games to good teams. This years team is losing lousy games to mediocre or bad teams. Compare last nights Patriots / Broncos game- the Pats come in missing their top three receivers, a patch work O line while the Pack took arguably one of the best O lines, a very good running game and a complete receiving corp. The Pats lose in OT, while the Pack got blown out. To me, the difference was in O game plans and execution.
Another thing in regards to Green Bay Packers of previous years. They fought and never quit! This team doesn’t seem to be a team or a family. Again, what happened in the bye week? I still think that’s the answer
I am a long time Packer fan and believe if the fans can continue to believe in their team; the team will once again begin to believe in themselves.
I wrote this many years ago. You can dump on your husband. You can dump on your wife- but a GreenBay backer is a Packer for life! Go Packers
Excellent reply Thank You!!
you can still be a fan but be realistic about your team….heck i survived the 80’s. you can get in a rut for a game or 2 but the packers have been in a rut all season, even some of their wins werent pretty. dominant, dynasty teams and elite qbs dont go into funks like this. i believe the team is over rated.no one wants to take any of this on their shoulders.,not rodgers, mccarthy anyone. no sense of urgency what so ever….no leaders. a management team that goes on the cheap and surrounds a great qb,whose window is getting smaller, with mediocrity. happy with consistantly winning a crummy division and getting beat in the playoffs. never taking steps or addressing problems to get to the next level. we struck gold once with favre, defied all odds with rodgers so chances are its not happening again, but they refuse to go for it and are letting in slide away.
