Packers Aren’t Jumping To Conclusions

Andrew Quarless Gun ShootingThe Packers aren’t jumping to any conclusions regarding Andrew Quarless. The veteran tight end had 29 catches for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2015 but the rookie Richard Rodgers had 20 catches for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rodgers would seem to have the upper hand now…to a great extent in the fact that thus far he has kept his nose clean in the offseason. But here’s the question…

Should the Packers move on from Andrew Quarless? The tight end position is critical to the Packers offense, and it would become a position with a lot of question marks after Rodgers if the Packers let him go. At the same time, the Packers are a “youth movement” team and also one that consciously tries to keep upstanding citizens as well as good players on the team. At the same time, the organization does not tend to jump to conclusions and is more likely to cut a player for what they don’t do on the field than what they do off it.

But what do you think Packernation…is it time?
