The Final Hour: Gameday Preview

Eleventh hour skinny for the Packers versus Seahawks:clay

Inactives:

QB Scott Tolzien, LB Jayrone Elliott, CB Demetri Goodson, LB Carl Bradford, WR Jeff Janis, DT Mike Pennel, TE Brandon Bostick

Notable Notes:

The last time these teams met, Green Bay’s running back was Cedrick Benson and the Packers did NOT run the ball until the second half of the game. Aaron Rodgers was sacked 8 times while trying to drive the ball down-field, in the second half, running the no-huddle, the Packers scored the points that should have won them the game.

The Packers started DJ Smith at linebacker and Charles Woodson at safety. Brian Bulaga had a terrible day, allowing multiple sacks and the whole O-line was stressed by the refusal to run the ball.

Who I am watching for:

I predict AJ Hawk will have a big day…I know some will say otherwise but watch and see.

A lot of people will be watching Nelson and Cobb and yes, I can’t wait to see them play. But I think Boykin will be a quiet hero in this game.

Nobody scores more than 17 on the ‘Hawks at home…until now.

Will the refs decide this game?

Will the Packers DB’s get interceptions?

tramon-williamsWill Mike Daniels show off the “new attitude” he has been talking about?

Keys to the game:

  1. Stop the run
  2. pressure the quarterback
  3. Render pressure ineffective with Eddie Lacy (running and passing out of the backfield) and shallow crosses

The Packers are getting no love in this game. LOVE it! If Green Bay can play to its strengths and limit mistakes, they can take this season opener in eye-opening fashion. I have the Packers by double-digits in this one.

That is my take on this one…just an hour to go. But what do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.

GO PACK!!!

I’m I die hard Packers fan and it irritates me to see our line backers not stay in home our corners not staying in coverage and no one on defense knows how to wrap up
