R&R Packers vs Vikings

Packers vs Vikings 2015Rants

I will get roasted for this but Rodgers stunk this game. He has regressed since the middle of last season and looks to still be declining. Most were saying it was the loss of Nelson last year but I wrote more than a few posts saying Rodgers has regressed as a QB and it has carried over into this season. He has no vision anymore. I saw at least 2 plays where he had Nelson wide open over the middle deep but he threw the ball into tight coverage either short or on the sideline.

  • His lack of reading the defense is sickening.
  • His ball security has went on vacation.
  • Five receiver sets and he can’t find one open and there was on more than a few plays and when he did throw the ball it was off target.

He says anyone can make the easy throws so he practices the hard ones, well maybe he needs to start practicing the easy ones because he can’t make them at this point.

The Rodgers of two years ago would pick a defense apart with quick release passes. short crossing routes and back should throws picking up 5 yards but now he is trying to make a big play every time.

He needs to stop blaming everyone else and take a long look at himself!

McCarthy’s choice of personnel was horrible, Cobb isn’t a RB and has no business in the back field unless it’s some type of trick play.

4th and 1 and we go with James Starks instead of Eddie Lacy? Come on! Any coach with half a brain knows Lacy is the right choice in those situations!

How many times do we have to see Adams run the wrong route or drop the ball? In the mean time you have the best route runner with sure hands sitting on the bench in Abbrederis.Clay

Why is Lacy sitting on the bench for a whole quarter? I understand rotating Starks in but not like this…if Lacy isn’t injured he needs to touch the ball 20 plus times a game.

I get going for it on 4th and one but early in the game and a chance to tie the game why not kick the FG? And if you do go for it put your power back in not a finesse player.

Okay there’s way to many things I can rant about this game but I will stop here.

Raves

I only have one and it’s the defensive line they played stellar ball stopping the run.

Sorry I can’t think of anymore to rave about so if you have any please let us know in the comments below or on the face book home page.

Thanks, Jeff

Special teams get kudos. Aside from the short punts, they were great! But otherwise, your assessment is spot on.

Im sad to say I cannot argue with you. You are correct. My father in-law and I have had this arguement alot in the last year. I watch Rodgers miss a fibe yard pass to a wide open Cook. SAD. Between McCarthy and Dum Dum Capers I have little confidence in our decision makers. Oh well, ‘ we will look at the film and make corrections’ yet again.

I agree totally. Rodgers needs to wake up. He needs to take more responsibility and own his mistakes. He overthrew Nelson several times and made key mistakes when it counted most (fumble and INT late in the game).
Lacy definitely needed to be in more (makes no sense sitting him out for a quarter).
I disagree with the above comment that Special Teams deserves kudos. They returned NOTHING, punted like crap and gave a few returns of sizable yards.
What an awful showing… Especially by our offense and coaching staff!

All those offensive weapons and supposedly the best QB in the game and we laid a big FKN egg ! Kudos to the rush defense, I applaud you ! Yup, you were spot on in your assessment of the current state of our Packers…..I don’t see anything changing anytime soon. Things are getting STALE in Green Bay and changes amongst decision makers need to be made in the near future……stay as you are and you won’t go far. GO PACK !!!

What has happened to Rodgers? I felt sorry for him seeing the frustration on his face! Maybe we should see if Favre will come out of retirement. I think he could still play a better game than last night! That was pathetic.

Rodgers has taken a lot of hits in his career his int. was a lob when he needed to zip it in there plus wrong shoulder he needed it to the outside the fumbles he needs to work on and when you start losing accuracy in the long throws the qb is on his last days of playing look at Peyton Manning it might be time to play Hundley

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Give them so damn time to get this train rolling! Remember how bad the offense looked the first 4 weeks in 2014? Then they had a great year. Get a grip. If you honestly want someone under center other than Rodgers….youre an idiot

All things considered it wasnt as bad as it could have been we need to protect our qb more the offensive line has always been a big issue for us ..and he does need to quit holding the ball so long but as a mobile qb the longer he keeps the play alive the better as noted by the 2 hail mary tds last yr ….we just all need to get on yhe same page…and we will be fine get the bugs out early its only week 2 for crying out loud and dont take away from vikings as much as i hate vikings they have a very very good team over there and made it tough on us but now we know what we have to do at lambeau next time against them….no panic yet..if still playing crappy ater bye week or like week 7 than we need to worry but its only 2 weeks and the vikings are a very very good team granted neither played to their caliber but thats besides the point they did just enough to win and thats not acceptable for us

Maybe Rogers wants out of GB. Look at his peers. Do you think Brady would have 20 points in six qtrs?
No, No, No. What have these guys been do in training camp…Where is the development of the new guys.
They draft receivers for the most part that can not make the transition. Why not B. Marshall, Franklin, and many other top proven players…Their draft selection is not working!! Are these guys motivated? Clean house. They should have won at least 3 championships with Rogers…The clock is running or maybe run
    out!
