So Brett Favre is coming back after all?

Brett Favre returns to the Minnesota Vikings in 2010Is anyone shocked?

Anyone with any sense knew this was going to happen; it was just a matter of when.

The only thing that was proven is for the second year in a row Favre showed that he is indeed bigger than an organization. The Vikings are just dumb enough to let him hold the team hostage for the entire offseason.

Something Ted Thompson wouldn't do.

Thank you Ted for giving us Aaron Rodgers as our quarterback. He is the definition of professional. More importantly, he understands what it means to be part of a team. Something Favre gave up a long time ago.

Now let's get on with football!

Found it ironic that one of the video clips on ESPN this afternoon was a post-game locker room scene of Favre & Vikings teammates chanting "1-2-3 TEAM!".

Yeah, right.

That's hilarious! Definitely one for the video archives.

Remember there is no I in team...

Unless you're Brett Favre.

I feel so lucky 2 have Rodgers as our QB. The best part is he is at the start of his career, not the end!!!

There are occasions when people are forced to beg,as when illness, job loss, sudden tragedies and these events make my heart and eyes cry.I applaud those who have the character and pride to do whatever they must to go on in life.
The Viqueens have just literally "SPAT" on those people with their disgusting display of begging for a chance to WIN a game.
This kind of begging is parallel to those who do not want to earn but want to be given everything. These are the LOSERS and always will be and my heart and eyes will cry in joy at them.

Very well stated! Begging in sports may be the most pathetic thing, and enabling the person who wants to be loved is equal. And the Vikings have done both-enabled Favre to hold them hostage AND needing fellow players to beg for his return. It is disgusting, pathetic, and embarassing.

Thank goodness we have a quarterback who understands the concept of "team"

Stop hating on Brett, you forget he wanted to come back & management turned him away

Yeah, he wanted to come back, but only on his terms and only after he turned them down twice. I'll always have fond memories of his time as a Packer but it was time for both of them to move on.

Just out of curiousity, where in this post did I "hate on Brett"? My comment about knowing what it means to be part of a team? Read this http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/101065509.html

and let me know how that is being part of a team.

The 08 Favre story will probably never be fully known either, so the comment of how he wanted to come back and mgmt turned him away will always be up for debate until both sides say everything there is to say.

If there's a credibility debate between '4' & the Packers, I'll take my chances w/TT & M-3. Just sayin'.
